WKRC News in Cincinnati reports on the rising levels of foreclosures in the US, increasing 24% in one month alone. They go on to say that many of the foreclosures are allegedly caused by fraudulent appraisals which were altered by the lender. In this case they talk to one borrower who got a loan from a home equity lender. The report includes an interview with an Appraiser who stated that his appraisal had been altered by the mortgage company.
