Ashburnham realtor convicted in theft of deposits and has license revoked

According to the website [PDF version] (last entry on page) of the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Real Estate Brokers and Salespersons, the Board, by Decision, has revoked the real estate broker’s license issued to Carol Tule.

The Board took this action following Tule’s conduct whereby she failed to remit deposits in excess of $21.000 in three separate purchase and sale transactions in violation of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 112, §87AAA(d). Additionally, Tule continued to practice as a real estate broker in the Commonwealth following the expiration of her license and the stay of the right to renew her license by the Massachusetts Department of Revenue in violation of Board Regulation 254 CMR 3.00(14)(b).

According to the Worcester Telegram and Gazette [PDF version] Carol J. Tule, 43, of 248 Ashby Hill Road, Ashburnham, was sentenced in Worcester Superior Court to two years in the House of Correction after pleading guilty to larceny of property worth more than $250 by a single scheme. Last month she admitted in the same court that she stole more than $65,000 from deposits for real estate purchases given to her by several clients.

She ran a company called Tule Associates Realty Shop in Ashburnham.
